My birthday!
Two posts in one day.. I know! Crazy! So, my 24th birthday was August 30. It's always around my birthday that I realize how truly blessed I am to have such an awesome family, wonderful friends, and a truly amazing husband. On August 15th my brother, Fred and I celebrated our birthdays together! It was amazing having all the people I love most in one place (well, except Clark, Dan, Tami, Zeke, and Kaiyah) We had a wonderful meal and spent most of the night playing the Wii! Then, on August 29th I came in to work and my co-workers had decorated my desk with confetti, candy, and presents! Then that night, Lee and I went to eat with Liz, Zach, Steph, Adam, and Casey at none other than On the Border! Then bright and early on Saturday morning (August 30) Lee cooked my breakfast and gave me my present and then we set off for Branson, MO. We had a very relaxing weekend and always enjoy traveling together! I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for making my birthday so amazing! I came away with a new Wii, Dance Dance Revolution to go with the Wii, some cute clothes thanks to the Target and Kohls gift cards, some accesorries to go with my Wii thank you Steph, and Liz and Zach for the Best Buy gift cards, and my sweet husband gave me the most adorable, cutest pink camera! So, now that I have a little camera to tote around, expect many more pictures! Which is why I have no pictures of any of the above activites except Branson =) Here they are!

Jamaica Mon!
Hello everyone! Sorry.. Once again it has been so long since I've posted anything, I wouldn't be surprised if no one reads this one for awhile =) The past couple of months have been really crazy for Lee and I- hince no posts! July 28th was our one year anniversary, and we took and amazing trip to Jamaica. The past year with Lee has brought all kinds of memories! We've dealt with a flooded house; We had our first Christmas as a married couple; Lee has planted an amazing garden; I cut the grass for the first time; we went on a cruise with two of our best friends, Alison and Russell; Lee had a surprise birthday party; we've raised two dogs and a cat; Lee's ran a triathalon; and more than anything, we've spent the last year falling more and more in love with each other! There have been some arguments- we like to call those making adjustments to life together =); but over all I love Lee more today than I ever have. He is Godly man, a handy man, a great chef, a good dad to our animals, a hard worker, a romantic, and I get to call him my husband! How lucky am I !? =)

Chicken Update
For those of you who have not read Elizabeth's blog about the chicken, you should go to her blog and look at her post first. After reading her blog, you can come back here and get the update on the chicken! Apparently, Goldie is the chicken's name, and she originally showed up at my Grandma Beulah's house Friday night, and wondered over to Zach's car sometime on Saturday. Anyone that knows me or Lee knows that we can not turn away a stray animal- even a chicken, so we volunteered to take the chicken out to our house, so that it could frolic all day out in the country in our back yard. One slight problem.. the dogs and the cat think of Goldie as dinner. We've kept a good eye on Goldie and the dogs, and so far, Goldie is still making it =) I have talked to Grandma, and after some careful consideration, in Goldie's best interest, I think we are going to let Grandma Beulah have her back under one condition.. She can't eat her EVER! Anyone who knows my grandmother knows that normally this would be one thing she probably couldn't agree to, but I actually think Grandma has grown quite attached to the little fellow.

Dogs, dogs, dogs
This weekend, Lee and I had the pleasure of dog sitting our nephew dogs; We really did have a good time with them! Although, Chandler (our cat) wasn't quite so sure what to think about them, Joey and Phoebe loved having their cousins over to visit! I took these photos after they spent the majority of the morning chasing each other around our backyard! Joey and Bear were so funny together. It was like watching a father and son play together. Bear wanted to do everything that Joey did and he wanted to do it just like Joey. Phoebe and Bryant are definitely the laid back ones of the group; they prefer to just chill out and relax. I hope Bear and Bryant enjoyed the day with their cousins and Aunt and Uncle!

A Blog For All Seasons
So, today, Lee and I had lunch with my parents after church. I was talking to them about how I mowed the grass yesterday, and my Dad was like "You should put it on your blog!" I then explained to them that I haven't done anything on my blog in so long, that I felt that my next entry needed to be something great, and then my Dad told me that I should just have a blog for all seasons! Lee has been working really hard on our garden and our flower beds lately, ( he works 7-3:30, and I work 8-5 and usually don't get home until 6:30 or 7:00) so by the time that I get home he is usually done with his work outside for the day. So, Saturday, I asked him what I could do to help, and he decided that he was going to teach me how to mow the grass on the riding mower! I must say.. This may be my new favorite pass-time! I'm officially a country girl guys! (I have a farmer's tan to prove it! ) But, seriously.. When you're out there on that lawn mower, you can't he
ar anything! It was so peaceful and rewarding! =)

Snow!!
It snowed yesterday! It was so fun! The dogs weren't really sure what to think about it! They seemed really confused by it. They weren't sure whether they were supposed to eat it, dig it up, or run away from it! We had a fun night of just staying inside, building a fire, and watching a movie! Oh yeah, and today we watched the Tigers game online while talking to Dad and Dan! Such a fun weekend so far =)
